The Mahoning River Consortium (MRC) is a community-based, non-profit 
organization that seeks to restore the environmental integrity of the 
Mahoning River and the lands along the River Corridor.

The MRC also strives to enhance the social, recreational and economic 
development of all of the communities along the Mahoning River.  The 
MRC advocates research, multiple use planning, education, recreation, 
social and economic activities that positively impact the quality of 
life along the river.

The MRC is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, and all 
contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law.

December Meeting

Date: Friday, December 18, 2009 @1:00 p.m.

Agenda: Annual Holiday Gathering

Speaker: It's a Holiday Party! - Refreshments and hot beverages will be served.

Location: Cortland Conservation Club – 3931 McCleary Jacoby Road, Cortland, 44410.

 

January, 2010: No Meeting


Special June Event: "31-mile Riverside Picnic Party"
When: June 12, 2010 (sunup to sundown).
Where: All along the Mahoning River!
What: The idea of this event is to get as many families, groups, and individuals of the Mahoning Valley as possible to picnic somewhere, anywhere, along the river on this day. The goal of the MRC's is to get folks to see the beauty of the river, so they will want that beauty embellished by the cleaning of pollutants from the river bed. We would like canoers, kayakers and motor boaters to cruise the river that day; and hikers and runners to cruise the shoreline. We picked June 12 because that is the second 'National Get Outdoors Day.'

 

 

 

 

MRC membership meetings will be held quarterly.
Board of Trustees Meetings will be held as needed following a membership meeting.
Meetings will generally be held on the 3rd Friday of a month.
